I help you uncover root causes, restore vitality, and thrive with whole-person naturopathic care in Rhode Island.
Begin Your Health JourneyFrom early childhood fascination with botanical remedies to years of formal study in both conventional and naturopathic disciplines, my path has always centered on one question: “What is the true root of health?”
I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) at Bastyr University, completed residency at National University of Natural Medicine, and pursued advanced training in functional lab analysis, oncology nutrition, and clinical herbalism.

Restoring digestive balance, resolving bloating, sensitivities, and supporting healthy gut flora for optimal wellbeing.

Calming immune overreactions, reducing flare-ups, and restoring balance through herbs, lifestyle, and root-cause work.

Supporting optimal hormone function—thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormone balance—for energy, mood, and resilience.

Managing anxiety, burnout, and mood through stress resilience, nutrition, herbal support, and balanced lifestyle.

Restoring healthy sleep rhythms, optimizing rest, aligning lifestyle with natural circadian cues.

Integrative nutrition, immune resilience, managing side effects—support through every phase of cancer treatment and recovery.

The journey begins with an in-depth exploration of your health history—symptoms, medications, tests, diet, stress. We’ll run any necessary labs, create a personalized treatment plan that may include botanicals, nutrition, lifestyle shifts. Regular followups ensure you’re getting results. My goal: empower your healing so your wellness becomes sustainable and deeply rooted.
“I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I received from Dr. Greg Nigh, a naturopathic doctor, during my cancer journey. He was exceptionally attentive—not only to my needs, but also to the concerns of my family—and always took the time to listen and truly understand what we were going through. The treatments and routines he recommended were extremely beneficial throughout my chemotherapy and radiation. In fact, my primary oncologist was amazed at how well I handled the therapies and how strong I remained during treatment. I am absolutely confident that Dr. Nigh’s guidance played a major role in that.I would highly recommend Dr. Greg Nigh to anyone seeking compassionate, thoughtful, and effective naturopathic care. I am a healthier person today because of the care he provided during my cancer journey and continues to provide.” — Ron Wirth
“Open-minded, innovative, and a true partner in health is Dr. Nigh. He goes the extra 5 miles. He is really engaged in research, and remains CURIOUS, which is such an important quality in a human being, let alone a health care practitioner.” — Diana Cloudsupernova
“So, Dr Nigh would appreciate reviews with whatever patients / customers have to say about him and the results of our medical consulting with him. Well how about a review from a totally “unbiased" long-time customer, his aging 85yo Father. Readers, because of my obvious bias you can take my comments with a “grain of salt” Review written by a family member. But having said that let me share our (me & Greg’s mom Barb) “outcomes” after 25 years of following Greg’s health maintenance / illness avoiding evaluations and recommendations. Barb first. I can summarize her current, 83yo, physical and mental condition by mentioning that she still does her 4-mile run every other day – winter and summer. Fifteen years ago she had breast cancer which was successfully treated via Greg’s recommendation she do Brachy-Therapy radiation but not the follow-up chemotherapy. She continues to take Greg’s recommended supplements. I would put her health and energy up against any other 83yo woman. And on top of that she’s just a loveable gal who’s been easy/fun to live with for the past 63 years. My father died at age 52 from his first heart attack. His father (my Grandfather) died at age 48 from his first heart attack. So the prognosis for me still being alive at age 85 was not very good. How did this happen? Well maybe it’s because after my fathers death I decided my best chance for living to an old age was to focus on prevention. I still do my 3.5 mile walk three days each week plus weights and floor exercises on the off days. Greg going to Naturopathic Medical School was perfect for my health and longevity. I can call him anytime regarding a new ache or pain and he is right on it with a currently researched remedy. Unlike Barb I can no longer run 4 miles so l blame Greg for this failure. Why, a good doctor would have me competing in mini-marathons like in my younger days. So ok, he’s not perfect. But if Greg takes care of his patients anything like how he takes care of his parents then his patients can rest assured they are in good hands. You will not find a doctor who is more current on Medical research or more caring about his patients than is Greg.” — Cal
“Several years ago during my SIBO protocol I had some questions for Dr. Nigh. He answered them quickly and it greatly allowed me to continue the healing journey. His assistant was also a valuable aid in addressing some additional food choices I needed to consider. Extremely grateful for their generous and knowledgeable help.” — a v
“Greg, as he wants to be called, has saved my husbands life. My husband, Larry, had radiation for prostate cancer many years ago. As can be expected (we were unaware at the time and just went along with what we were told we must do, and do quickly, by traditional medicine practitioners) with chemo and or radiation, it came roaring back years later as 4th stage metastatic bone cancer 8 years ago. About 4 years ago, my husband started working with Greg who has treated him with gentle, welcoming kindness, genuine interest, intent on hearing - a major healing modality all on it's own. Greg has committed himself to a lifestyle of ongoing research of all manner of things, giving him new information to apply to unique, tailor made treatment plans. Because this information is at his fingertips, he is able to apply it to updated and improved treatment plans, and can pivot on a dime as needed. They are a team, working together, ever building Larry's immune system in healthy ways. Today Larry's PSA is below 1%. All of his multiple labs are in the green. Amazing Grace. Thank you Greg.” — Christine Barber
“Dr. Nigh has been my naturopathic doctor for years, initially in a clinical setting, now online. We worked together to save me from cancer destruction. His guidance and innovative protocols were invaluable and remain successful. His years of expertise and how I learned to use important remedies he suggested, keeps me marching along, years later. A highly knowledgeable health professional, published researcher and stellar human. God Bless You, Greg!” — Jeanette Skyward
“I've been working with Dr. Nigh for almost 10 years now, and often refer to his practice anyone that is struggling with a cancer or Lymes diagnosis. Dr. Nigh is by far the most caring doctor I have ever experienced, taking the time to throughly listen and also making the best suggestions, but never pushing any treatments I was uncomfortable doing or was just unattainable due to cost, etc. On the subject of cost, Dr. Nigh is truly worth every penny of out of pocket cost and he will work a plan that is doable both financially and mentally. I have been treated both in person when his practice offered those services and now online only, and count both as very valuable. I’m so grateful for Dr. Nigh’s help with helping reach remission initially and now helping me fight actively once again. Schedule a consult, you won’t be disappointed!” — Abigail & Jonathan Danielsen
“I have gotten good advice from Dr. Nigh. I had an unexpected diagnosis earlier this year and he has helped me understand things and offer guidance to help me have the confidence I need to know I am going to be ok. To me, that's what a doctor should really do!” — J J
“Dr Greg, His explanations are clear and thoughtful. In addition, he is calm and keeps me calm so I don’t panic—no pressure on his part.” — Mary E Coles Tutor
